As a means of encouraging, supporting and disseminating research into women’s participation in screen media, the WFTHN holds a biennial conference, Doing Women’s Film and Television History (DWFTH). See the CFP for our next conference DWFTH5, ‘Histories of Women in Film and Television: Then and Now.’ A Hybrid Conference: July 10 – 11, 2021 (virtual and on-campus), hosted by Maynooth University, Ireland. This CFP is made in collaboration with ‘Women and the BBC’, a special themed issue of Critical Studies in Television.
