Welcome to Women’s Film and Television History Network UK/Ireland online

We are a group of researchers, teachers, archivists, collections managers, students, professionals, and enthusiasts engaged in exploring the contributions women have made to the emergence and development of film and television. Find out more….

As a means of encouraging, supporting and disseminating research into women’s participation in screen media, the Network holds a biennial WFTHN Conference. Unfortunately, this year’s conference DWFTH V, at Maynooth University, Ireland, due to be held 20-22 May 2020 has been postponed. Keep an eye out for further updates on this website, via our Twitter feed and at the official conference Twitter account @DWFTH5.

See our message to members about on the Network’s post-pandemic future.

Stay in touch via our Listserv, subscribe to the blog or follow the network on Twitter @WFTHN to hear about the latest news, research and events relating to women’s film, television and broadcasting history, including conferences, publications and screenings.
